Open Day essentials

If you’re thinking of going to university, Open Day should be high on your to-do list. Every university is different, and Open Day is the perfect opportunity to see if a university is the right fit for you.

Ashley Mitcham, a current ACU student, found Open Day the perfect way to find the right university for her. “I came to an Open Day in Year 10 and immediately fell in love with ACU. I remember thinking, ‘This is the place I want to be.' I loved that it was small—but not too small—and very welcoming. The atmosphere, the buildings… everything felt inviting,” said Ashley. 

At Open Day there are a lot of things to see and people to talk to. With so much on offer, it can be confusing to know where to start. Here are a few essential Open Day events by faculty to get you started.

General must-do

• Start your day at the Start Here Tent to get your ACU bag and map
• Take a guided campus tour
• Find out about fees and scholarship
• Check out overseas study opportunities
• Talk to study experts at the Info Expo

Health sciences

• Explore clinics where you can see the latest training resources in strength and conditioning for athletic and clinical populations
• Take part in a paramedicine simulation activity
• Visit exercise physiology labs to see students carry out health screenings

Education and arts

• Take part in an interactive education demonstration
• Attend an info session on your course of interest
• Check out artworks from our visual arts and design students

Law and business

• Have all your questions answered at the Business Q&A panel
• Talk one-on-one with experts at the Info Expo

Theology and philosophy

• Talk one-on-one with experts at the Info Expo
• Take a campus tour leaving from the Campus Tour Tent
